Talking to my brother tonight about my cute new nephew, Henri, (who I can't wait to meet) I was inspired by the exciting times we live in. We were talking about how fun that Henri just got here - he came on scene just a few days before the big Super Bowl. (Henri was born just outside Seattle to a very enthusiastic Seahawks fan for a father.) Then just a few days after that the Olympics were set to begin. Coming up in a few months is spring and a family wedding and....just lots of fun things to look forward to!
Some of these things made me think of this cute video from Kid President - some advice to people that just got here: :)
All of these things are fun, but even more exciting is thinking about the opportunities in the world today to do good, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, to stand up for truth and righteousness, to protect families, to be a part of temple and family history work, to defend religious freedom, to learn, to progress. It's an exciting time to be alive! I wonder if Henri knows how exciting it is to be here now?! He probably knows more about all of this than we do. :)
